Stressless ...

Now this is the way to buy new furniture! It all began when Mr PB decided he could no longer live with the easy chair he inhabits (it's a bit on the big side) and wanted to try one of these fancy chairs that recline as you lean back and move in subtle ways to support every bit of you. He might even buy one, if he was sufficiently tempted...

The wonderful thing was that we found ourselves entirely alone (apart from the very helpful sales person) in this pristine department in a furniture store in Whiteinch that we'd never visited and didn't even know existed, with all the time in the world and more Stressless chairs than you could shake a stick at (and yes, that's their trademark name). So much time, in fact, that when I had finished taking photos of reclining customer and sales person, helping myself to an espresso from a self-service machine, visiting the pristine Ladies and watching a bit of telly ... I had time to sit down on one of their sofas. Just to see what it felt like, of course.

Suffice it to say that we left, three hours after we'd arrived, having bought a new chair. And a sofa. *
