Little brother birthday and update.
After a long road that is still being traveled, he is back to work. He says he can't do everything he could before as well but he is trying. He is exhausted when he gets home. But the doctor told him he would never work again in the welding trade and he said "watch me". I have to give the fortitude award to him for last year, that's for sure. He doesn't have the German stubborn genes for nothing.
He will still have to have some reconstruction in his mouth for his teeth and a coil to be inserted in his carotid. Unsure when all that will happen.
I called to wish him a happy 50th. I told him how blessed he was to see 50 and how could it be...we were just kids running around the yard, right? He laugh and said before the accident he was dreading turning 50 and now his perspective has changed and he felt pretty good about it. He is now welcoming his 50s.
He is a miracle...God isn't done with him on this earth yet. I am glad of that.
