Bougainvillea

It's been another day of plenty of work on the computer - designing our latest Madeira walking guide.

So, only a quick walk out and early, ahead of the heat and humidity - it's been a scorcher today. There was a beautiful hedge of Bougainvillea - the flowers are the tiny white centres while the brightly coloured parts are not petals but leaf bracts. There are lots of these plants on the island of Madeira as well as here in Brisbane.
