Bridging the gap.
Went to Sainsbury's this morning, to do the food and wine shop, and on the way back, J pulled over for me to take some photos. We use a short cut, that only the locals use, and this bridge is really narrow and the river below was really fast muddy, and swollen. Above is the M4 motorway. My Dad lived not far from here when he was a boy, and used to go skinny dipping ,with his friends near this bridge. He said that you would see dead sheep floating by, and one day he got out of his depth, and nearly drowned. I am glad he was rescued, by one of his friends. The road is called the S bend, for obvious reasons. While we where shopping, J had a text from our friend , Elaine. She had opened the garage door, which is motorized, and it had got stuck half way. As soon as we got back, J went to fix it for her. His good deed for the day. I did some chores this afternoon, and my washing is now blowing on the line. Happy days! Looking forward to watching Shetland, on BBC tonight. Have a good weekend.
