Sad beauty

A rainy morning gave way to a sunny afternoon. Village Cafe, a quick lunch and off into town for some essentials.
While topping up the bird feeders late this afternoon, I noticed this little rose was still hanging on - just! After a week of frosts and rain, it is looking a little fragile!
Made a chicken curry for supper, with poppadums, chutney and yoghurt - yum!
Here I am on Blip again when I ought to be reading my bookclub book! It is Mill on the Floss by George Eliot, and I have nine days in which to finish it!
