A long day.

It began in Denton, where I had to meet a person important in that parish. Making sure I was not late, I got there too early. Denton seems to have a thing about hats (it was a centre of the hatting industry). I liked a mural (see extra).

It ended at the Bridgewater Hall. A pretty full house for the Tallis Scholars. Works by Taverner, Tavener and Tallis. Excellent

They sang an encore - premiering a new work. A 10 part harmony, it was based on the final scene from Watch with Mother all those years ago. I am of that era that can remember Andy Pandy saying it was time to go home.
