Bonsai!

Went to Bonsai this evening with Jen, Jen's Mum and Jen's Mum's pal Mary. I had bought 2 Groupon vouchers so between us we had a £24 headstart. It made a huge change for me and Jen to be goiung with other people as normally we can only order 6 or 7 dishes but tonight we got to try 15! Highlights for me were the soft shell crab roll, tuna tataki, crispy salmon skin and avocado maki and the pickled mackerel salad. I also tried some plum wine which was a bit like a dessert wine and I will be buying some next time I go to the chinese supermarket.

Work was very good as I managed to have a play with Node.js and PhantomJS. both are things I have wanted to find out about but not hd the opportunity. PhantomJS (a headless server side webkit engine) has a huge potential in testing terms and also its ability to render web pages to PDF. I still have to find a proper use for Node,js but at least I've gone through the installation process. I also signed up for a New Relic account in order to get a free data nerd t-shirt. It looks great but the full package is very expensive.
