With flooded roads and a lot more rain forecast we left home at 7.30 am on our journey to Newcastle. If Windermere had risen again we risked not being able to get out of Ambleside.  

With the A591 to Keswick closed because part of the road has been washed away and the route over Kirkstone also impassable  because of flood damage at Glenridding we had take a longer route via Kendal.

Completely forgot about a blip until after dark so walked to the nearby roundabout and tried a few light trail shots.
