Ironic

Orchis ustulata, the Burnt Orchid, dripping in the heavy rain.

I arrived in Kandersteg to a rainy day. A five hour walk up to Oechinensee and back was my choice. The woodland flora was excellent and the umbrella kept my top half dry ..... pity my boots leaked :-(

Oechinensee is a large alpine lake, a beautiful blue in the sunshine. The cloud was only about 100 feet above the lake which was grey, the massive snow capped mountains lost in the mist.
