I love living by the sea, especially when you just nip down for a blip and see this.

I went to the opticians today: the day has finally come, everything's worse. I need a stronger distance prescription, my astigmatism is worse, and I need a reading prescription! So it's vari-focals for me. The moment when she adjusted the reading prescription was nothing short of bliss, I hadn't realised how much I'd been straining to read recently. The children were both off with friends so I phoned Marc to come and help me choose a new pair, which I did in double quick time, and now my bank account is empty (and then some)...

After that I needed a drink, so we had a sneaky half a pint before a quick stomp along the beach and then home. Tonight we are off to Ella's for Icelandic Burns Night.
