Sunbiggin from Middle Busk

A long long day today getting the last of the flood damaged items out of the garage & ready to go into a skip next week - I can confirm that wet carpet is the heaviest substance known to man.
By the middle of the day I knew I'd broken the back of the job -  so a walk on the moors was called for - once pooch would have been able to go this far from the house - but now we drive the dull bit so she can play on the moors - even at twelve & a bit she still wants to 'hunt'.
I married a Burns & have lots of military friends (who seem to have fully adopted Burns Night) - so tonight is the first of this years celebrations. I've found over the years that attention must be paid to the exact quantities of Haggis, Poetry & Scotch that go into the mix - but I fear there is a reason this particular celebration is taking place at the weekend....
