1st Class

Seats as sentinels,
We can pass by unhindered,
But may not linger.


A very non-digital day today. Up in London for the second part of a film photography workshop .... consequently nearly all the photos I took were on film and now are waiting to be developed.


After the workshop and a pitstop lunch, we headed to the photographers gallery  to see an exhibition of Saul Leiter's work ...details here.  I have to say I was completely blown away by it ... the painterly use of colour is just amazing ... If you get the chance and you're near London, go and see it!

After that it was braving the tube at Oxford circus (ghastly) and heading for home.    After the hustle and bustle of London, it was nice to get back to the quiet  lanes of Sussex and some proper darkness!

Only took a few digital shots, one of which was this.  On a near deserted  train, a first class carriage seemed a bit pointless, also all you seem to get for your money is an antimacassar ...
