The new glasses

I got a text from the optician on Friday saying my new glasses were ready.  I was there in 10 minutes flat to pick them up.  I am used to wearing really heavy glasses with thick glass, but the glass in these new ones is so thin and light - it's wonderful.

Since I had the cataracts fixed up, I've had a few issues - nothing major, just the settling-in process, and these new specs make everything just about perfect.  They are also transitional lenses which go dark in the sun, and they really do work well.  I can't tell they are going dark of course, and I can see very clearly, and still take photos, which I always struggled to do with sunglasses on. 

Win win all round.
