reflections

I had a plan for today but the weather wasn't as good as that forecast yesterday. Instead it was a morning of ironing and other jobs around the house and a short walk along to the lake in the afternoon. 

It seems a long time since I saw any good reflections at Waterhead. These are much more attractive than the boat that created them. 

Then an additional wander through the park to check something a walker I met yesterday said. His information was right  -  a large metal barrier has now been placed across the end of the stone footbridge over the River Rothay which sustained minor damage in the floods. For 6 weeks it's just had cones, tape and notices, and it's been easy to cross. I won't be going up to Lily Tarn for some time.
