Oeufs frais.....

.....I was awake ahead of everyone including the cat. A strong coffee and a tattie scone sandwich got my system firing.

Eventually, other members of the clan stumbled out of bed, we breakfasted and then made for Ardvar, a tiny settlement 5 miles from Drumbeg (not exactly metropolis size either). An iron age broch is reasonably well preserved and the pre-1700 burial site makes for some interesting viewing as you walk round the bay. Ticks were out in force though and my choice of shorts as walking apparel was poorly conceived.

Next, Owen lost his iPod in the bracken and I was stung to buggery on my hands and legs by nettles as I searched; then he broke the news that he hadn't lost it and it was in fact in his pocket............still he'll be out of hospital soon.

A brief trip to the Drumbeg Hotel for a pint of Young's London Gold on hand pump dispense (excellent) before heading home for prawn and scallop thai curry......delicious.

Why is Andy Murray such a good lover?

'cause he always comes second.
