Indian Roller(Coracias benghalensis)

Took my camera out with me today to this location(see extras) it is called The Dive Centre and it is a local beauty spot and a fantastic venue for getting your PADI certification or just for a glorious swim. I was hoping to see Egyptian Vultures and soaring Eagles, but sadly they were not to be seen. Luckily this Indian Roller just stayed long enough for a quick snapshot photograph, I'm afraid they are very timid and he didn't come very close, so this is a massive crop, amazingly you can still see this bird is a beauty and can almost out dazzle a Kingfisher! ( No, not really!) He's on a building called a Barasti and is an Omani version of a Palm roofed beach hut. It is a place you can stay at a very reasonable price and you get this view of the turquoise ocean.
