Early Blooms

Normally I have to lie on the ground to get a shot like this.

Today, I put my long Fuji lens on a Manfrotto pixie tripod and stood it on the ground. The tilting screen on the x-t1 and a remote control cable helped me take the shot in relative comfort.

I didn't have to get my waterproofs out, or kneel on the ground or use a stepstool to clamber up again. Seems almost tame.

It also seems too early to be seeing Spring flowers. Crocuses and celandine are also forcing up through the lawn.
