I had a lovely morning looking around Sheffield, a city I am not familiar with despite it being quite close. I absolutely loved this sculpture in sheet steel of the Nativity scene, by Brian Fell, in Sheffield Cathedral. It really moved me. I thought it worked brilliantly as an overall structure but the faces of the characters are well worth a look on the extra photos. Notice how he has chosen to have Joseph holding the baby, and the most humble of the characters, the shepherd, stands the highest. I love the expression on the shepherd's face.
