Shy Bullfinch

A small flock of six bullfinches were hiding and feeding in the bushes on the hillside. They were always the wrong side of foliage, but got this, the best of the bunch, after about quarter of an hour. They were giving sibilant contact calls the whole time. It was lovely. They are such gentle birds.
Was on my way to the archaology survey at the Bronze Age site. Spent all day here and it was really warm, 12C!
