Rainy Walk

Stayed with N&N last night. Betsy and I woke up very early and played with CC which was great, but by 9 I had to flake out on the sofa for a power nap.

All the boys slept in, and by the time we all eventually got our acts together (five separate sessions making bacon sandwiches) the rain was torrential. Nibs, Chris, Betsy and I decided to take Chantelle for a walk anyway. Nick and Al refused to come, electing to stay huddled on the sofa watching SpongeBob Squarepants instead. By the time we got back however, we were the ones who looked like we live in a pineapple under the sea, as while we were out the torrential rain had became almost biblical. We were all (apart from Chantelle in her cosy bubble) soaked right to our underwear.

Anyway, we sat around in various strange combinations of yesterday's clothes, borrowed items, pyjamas and towels, while Nick cooked us all roast chicken and the kitchen steamed up.

A great 24 hours with six of my favourite people.
