Three flamingo fountain....

Stopped at a new place to spend the night and found this flamingo fountain surrounded by palm trees. The place called itself a little oasis in the desert. I was intrigued by the sign on the door that said  "warning we have very high prices because we are 100 miles away from the nearest grocery store and everything keeps going up. We appreciate your business but please don't complain. Remember YOU don't have to shop here." Refreshing that the shop owner was at least open and honest.

Parking was $10 a night to keep the rift raft out or spend $20 in the store and get free parking. That was easy to do. A roast beef sandwich, handful of chips and a glass of milk got me free parking..

I found out they turned off this fountain when their water supply started to go down at the beginning of California's drought. Still they are birds though ;-)
