The Monachs Way
A 615 mile walking trail following the escape of Charles 11 after the battle of Worcester in 1651.
Don't worry we only probably did a couple of miles but it felt like 615 as it was up muddy hills.
Roo enjoyed himself happily chasing off a cockerpoo that got to close to us.
We saw a couple of green woodpeckers and a beautiful kestrel, close by. I'd already spotted a sparrow hawk flying across my garden this morning, thankfully the pigeon managed to get away.
This walk spans around a nature reserve just outside of Stratford upon Avon and the monument was put up for a chap that had bought the estate many years ago. On a clear day you can see as far as The Cotswolds from this point.
We are all suitably worn out now.
