The Two Minute Red Glow

Dawn was quite a subdued affair today ... Once again, I set out about three quarters of an hour before sunrise, expecting only to capture some grey clouds ... But for a few minutes (much to my surprise) the clouds on the horizon turned red ... :o)

Because I was somewhat un-prepared, it took me several moments to grab my camera out of it's case ... and by the time I'd found a position from which to capture an image, the red glow was already fading ... :o/

So this isn't actually my best ever sunrise photo, but does at least show that the sun attempted to create some sort of display ... :o)
