Candle or Telephone?

We took our guest too Bredasdorp and Kapula Candles where I saw this funnily shaped candle. It is fun for my generation, but there was a boy of probably ten years looking at it and I wondered whether he would know what that shape represents. Telephones have sure changed a lot in thirty years!
