Keir House in winter
This is a rare glimpse of Keir House, the stately home originally belonging to the Keir estate.
This grim and foreboding looking house is only visible from a great distance, usually in winter, when the leaves are off the trees.
I took this photo from the other side of glen at the top of the Bridge of Allan golf course.
Keir house has had a colourful history. It was sold in 1975 to the Arab millionaire Mahdi Al-Tajir. ( I blipped it some years ago.)
Very little is known about the man except he was charged a few years ago with assault on his girl friend and fined in the local Sheriff court.
