No Cockling

Spent a lovely weekend in Lytham St Annes where we celebrated my mum's 80th birthday. Up early this morning for a walk along the prom and was quite taken by this sign - cockling is such a fantastic word! Inspired the following...

You can cockle on the coast of Kent
or under Morecambe pier,
you can cockle in Caerphilly
but you can't cockle here.

You can cackle whilst you cockle
but this notice makes it clear
although cackling's permitted
cockling is not welcome here.

There also seems to be a ban on jumping over cars on your motorbike...
