an inkwell...
...from back in the day
it was how they used to write
dipping a quill into - the inkwell and back out again - pressing it against the paper - ever so carefully - not causing drips or spills - which invariably i would probably do - or perhaps rip the paper - however i believe the paper stock - was a bit heavier than what we - use today for writing - although in reality - we don't tend to write nearly as much - as in times past - we rely more on typing - texting, email and such - other forms of social media
we have so fallen away from the actual written word - how sad is that? - do we not enjoy getting and giving letters anymore? - do we not appreciate communicating via pen and paper - relying on our ability to talk with our minds? - i see this as a sad statement of where - our society has fallen - how susceptible we have become - to less meaningful forms of interactions with each other - there is a certain lack of involvement - or personal commitment with some of these social media forums - versus when one sits down to compose a letter - to a loved one - we need to make a turn around - get back to the basics again - and really make it...
a
happy day.....
