Exercise 1 white on white

For the online course the educator was describing how the camera works in "auto" so that we can identify what is happening for when we go off auto. I started off auto so this is not new however knowing what is happening is interesting, it is all logical when pointed out clearly.
Last week 60plus had a black on black blip, mine is the opposite. The camera automatically makes it grey, about 18%.

So that is my blip tonight, a ratty old white dahlia on a white piece of paper but it comes out 18% grey. Tomorrow I might be ready for the challenge, easy so far.
By the way I am off auto.....now.
