Just passing the time ...
Family outing to the Science Museum, London. I was already in town but the girls and Jacinta came down from Norwich by taxi, train and bus(es) ... something of an adventure. The museum was a lot more civilised in term time than our previous half-term visits!
Every time we come I see something new, for me todays highlight was a clock, originally installed in Wells Cathedral in 1392 and still keeping good time. It was moved to London in 1871 when a new set of bells were installed in the cathedral and now chimes the quarters and the hour on two ancient bells.
There is something quite sobering in observing the movement of a clock that has been marking the passing of time since 100 years before Columbus sailed for America.
Outside a street entertainer was passing the time using the wind to make enormous bubbles, quite mesmerising ... see extra.
