The roof of the Duomo

We had a great day today-wandering into an Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibition near to our hotel, after we had explored the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana.

This turned out to be right next to our hotel-goog planning JJ!

I loved this museum as it was compact but fascinating architecturally as well as housing some magnificent paintings.

Of particular note were The Musician by Leonardo and The Basket of Fruit by Caravaggio. We even spied a beautiful lock of hair from Lucretia Borgia!

After some scrummy ice cream we traipsed up the steps to the terraces on the roof of the Duomo for some seriously good views of the city.

A wee nap followed and then out on the town again to visit a couple of bars with great atmosphere and nibble.

As Nicky 1 would say-a grand wee day!
