A Botched Selfie

Well - not really. 

But I was a little alarmed to see that the Mono Monday challenge was .... Selfie. I am not my favourite subject. So this is a nod in that direction !

Most of my day has been spent, one way or another, dealing with the subject of flooding. I am on Cromwell Bridge en-route to a meeting, having a look at the Irwell. Debris is strewn along both banks. The extra is interesting - on top of a pediment is what looks like a large storks nest. A massive pile of twigs and branches. It clearly landed here as the swollen river started to reduce from its peak, which cannot have been far off the top of the bridge. Unbelievable really.
