Paying Respect
Blipbear & Kiwi visit the grave of Blackfoot the first wolf at Wolf Haven. Another place to visit if you are in the area, make sure you call to book your spot. A wolf refuge with many of it's residents being the victims of abuse and neglect. Wolf Haven International
Additional photos are of the cemetery for past residents which is beautifully kept. Many of the wolves lived long lives at the refuge.
The other two shots are of a memorial that was added last year by a local artist to remember the barbaric, senseless deaths of the Wedge Pack. 6 wolves killed because of a rancher who lost some cows which were grazing on public land in their territory who demanded their deaths and of course he won. There is a wire figurine for each of the wolves killed, which included the alpha pair which resulted in the end of the Wedge Pack. It is a heartbreaking memorial. Article
