It's Australia Day.............

and almost compulsory to begin the day at the beach. Which we did. A long walk on the sand, a delicious swim (a few stingers though) and then a coffee in the shade. All before 8.30am ;)

Now, the salad is ready for this evening when we go to an ex neighbours' home for a barbie (BBQ). A lamb roast, pavlova, damper and other Aussie delights will be on offer. We have been celebrating Oz day with this group of friends, there are 8 families, for about 40 years. We must be getting old but we sure don't feel it when we are together :))
(We do ANZAC day and a day near Christmas with the same mob too)
