Glorious Day
The sun shone all day, we were up at 03:45 to get Sam to the school for her trip to France. Once Sam had left Clare stayed up and I went back to bed until 9:30 then it was up and hard graft for five hours.
The kitchen finally emptied and cleaned, has to be presentable for the builders, and then into the garden.
I started at one end, outside the French window, and worked right the way through to the other end, cutting, pruning, weeding, mowed the lawn, strimmed the edges, jet washed the patio and finally took all the rubbish to the tip.
Today's photo is of one of our roses, lovely, I look out at it through the dining room window every meal time but today outside I could literally "smell the roses" amongst all the other flowers.
Is this the start of summer?
Let's hope so.
