Bobby and the blue balloon

... this was my favourite photo of the day - taken as we set off to look at the larger farm animals at Cannon Hall. He really is fascinated with animals and of course he wanted to see Rab when he arrived this morning, who unfortunately had a stroke last weekend. So very sad!

A bit of a mixed fortune day - Ethan has developed tonsillitis, so we needed to make a visit to the emergency surgery at the hospital this lunch time - just at the time when all the rest of our family were due to meet up for lunch at Cannon Hall. Fortunately a mix of Nurofen and Panadol + antibiotic seems to be working and will hopefully see him through on the long, long flight home.

We had one last group photo taken at home this evening before my son and family left - so we have something to remember the occasion by. The cousins have got on so well together - it will be really sad (and quiet) when they leave - very early tomorrow morning
