Fancy!

I have often threatened to post a shot of Betty's Fancies when we visit Harlow Carr if I don't have anything better to blip.
It's actually usually quite difficult to get a decent shot of them in the counter cabinet without a lot of reflected glare and also I'm not usually disappointed with what the gardens have to offer.

Today we lunched at Betty's went to the shop and came back to Betty's for tea and cake. Never attempted the gardens. It wasn't too wet but it really didn't looking enticing going outside in the howling gale. So an indoor shot it had to be.

This is the window display for Valentine's Day with four of the special fancies in the centre. I'm intrigued by these but confess I would never buy one. We had Yorkshire tea loaf - lovely.

The staff seemed to be spring cleaning everywhere no doubt as customers were much thinner on the ground than usual.
We passed a very pleasant afternoon regardless of the weather, eating, drinking tea, chatting and watching other people work!
