High Tide

Today was one of those days when a combination of very strong winds and high tide means the coast road gets flooded and the village gets cut off for a few hours.  

Beforehand I walked Misty near Port Carlisle after it stopped raining and noticed the tide starting to come over the marsh so parked the car and walked Misty along a track out of the wind whilst keeping an eye on the tide.  Noticed it was coming in quicker than I expected so very quickly did an about turn and rushed back to the car.  Got there just as the water was going across the road in front of the car.  It was too deep to drive through so went to Port Carlisle for a wander and to sit it out.  Got bored after a while then had a brain wave and went to a nearby caravan park and asked if I could leave the car there for a couple of hours and then walked home along a very muddy track!
