Danger in the Alps

We are having a very warm winter with little snow. What has fallen is either avalanching off the steep slopes or just melting into the ground. This is why it is easy to spot the alpine animals like yesterday's bouquetin (thanks for putting him on the first popular page too). They are able to find food very high up. It also means that we are trying to get out on skis as much as possible, in case the snow disappears soon!
