Up Helly Aa Brownie Style

A great first session back at Brownies with Up Helly Aa celebrations. Several Brownies came dressed as Vikings and with a list of interesting facts. We all made shields to our own designs and drew little vikings to put in the 'galley' ship. We held our Brownie flag high and carried our galley outside and tried to light it but with no luck as the wind had picked up again and kept blowing the matches out.
We listened to the Up Helly Aa song and looked at pictures of the Guizer. The girls thought they all needed a shave and are sure they spotted Santa :)
