Red sky

Another beautiful dawn today. It was different from yesterday, more pinky red than gold, and with dramatic contrast between the warm colours and dark scudding clouds.

Well, you know what they say about shepherd's warning, and so it proved. The day started with such promise, but quickly degenerated into a dreary, grey and rainy one. Blame storm Jonah's lashing tail. Having dumped two feet and more of snow on the other side of the Atlantic, it's now dousing us in heavy rain.

The forecast is better for later in the week. Hooray!
