Xanadu .

The Legend of Xanadu, with the whip, went to No 1 in `68. And in Sweden but only No 11 in Japan. The lads were all from south Wilts. The blue plaque is on the City Hall, along with the Salisbury Coat of Arms (birds are Great Bustards). Just out of interest the recording label was Fontana, and Dave Dee was a policeman before going full time with the band.
