Sisters

Today was the day for our secret mission! We went by car to the small town of Vadstena by lake Vättern to visit the Birgittine nuns at the Abbey Pax Mariae! I have never been, so I was excited! I had gotten a special invitation to come along. Mum reminded me that the whole visit depended upon me behaving, meaning not barking like mad at people wearing cloaks and funny headwear.

We waited and waited outside the heavy abbey doors, and finally they opened and we were let inside. Our special friend, Sr. P, waited to greet us, and I said hello politely by sniffing her face. Sr. P is very old, older than grandma and grandpa, but she was very friendly. We three retreated to the library for coffee. If you can believe it, Sr. P used to breed black poodles, some fifty years ago, so she was super happy to have me! I tried to help with her computer, clear the floor and sort through her waste paper basket to say thank you. She gave me cookie crumbs!! and we showed her our dancing routine! All in all, a very happy visit.
