Aftermath

Following the devastating fire I blipped yesterday fire crews were still damping down and investigating the source of the fire.  Owners were coming to terms with their losses. Several businesses have lost everything and many people are at the moment jobless.

It looks as though the site will have to be totally demolished and rebuilt. One of the saddest losses was a vintage motor launch which had served in both world wars including Dunkirk. A major rebuild had just been completed and she was ready to be fitted out. The owner says she is now just a pile of ash.
