Spring blossoms
Last night our book club was hosted by one of our member's who is Scottish, and so in honour of Burns Night we were treated to the most delicious Scottish fare - haggis, neaps and tatties presented in an appealing artistic stack and drizzled with a whiskey sauce, and my new favourite, little individual pots of Atholl Brose pudding. Delicious! We never even got to discuss the book....
Still wet and windy today, the tail effect of Storm Jonas that is wreaking havoc and causing flooding once more - luckily in our area it is not bad at all. It was too windy to attempt macro shots of the blossoms so this was taken indoors when I got home after my dog walk.
Sunshine is forecast tomorrow....and I am off to see the butterflies at RHS Wisley.
