Hopeton01 - Open Access

Seeing this was a big deal for me.
In my 20's I suddenly went (within 2 days)from being a national-standard athlete reading for a law degree to a bed-bound brain surgery patient unable to even raise my head, let alone study or get up and walk.

In the following years, I've seen personally the inequalities of access suffered by people with varying challenges. I keep my eyes open for examples of thoughtfulness or thoughtlessness towards those with special needs.

Seeing this accessibility sign on mooring posts along my canal walk today was therefore very reassuring.
