Winter trees, Aylesbeare Common
It was a wet grey warm morning when I met up with the other members of our local walking group. I was surprised how many of us hadn't been put off by the bad weather forecast. We even passed another walking group going in the opposite direction. Fortunately the rain only appeared in short squalls and we wandered contently splashing and sliding through the muddy patches, alongside the river, up across an orchard and back round the edges of several local commons. These green moss covered areas around the trees were the most colourful things I saw today given the rather grey weather, so I couldn't resist getting a blip of them. An energetic 8 mile walk.
