ERICA VERTICULATA
Erica Verticulata is in full bloom at the moment. At one stage in the 60's the botanists at Kirstenbosch thought that it was extinct. For no apparent reason the plants that were growing in the Botanical garden all died and so did the known plants growing in the wild. Fortunately a few plants were discovered growing in gardens in the peninsula and Kirstenbosch was able to replenish their stocks.
A small miracle!
