The Conduit
The Greyfriars built a conduit to bring fresh water into the centre of the town during the early 14th Century. In its present form, the stone building dates from 1597. Many repairs and refurbishments have taken place over the years and I strongly suspect that this gargoyle dates from the Victorian restoration
