Clouds of light
After a dreary morning, the weather improved. We'll go out, we said. Then I had to return to an ongoing problem involving Amazon and someone hijacking my email address, and by the time the third frustrating phone call of the day was finished the sky had darkened again and the rain was pelting down.
We'll wait a bit, we said.
And so it was that just as the afternoon was ending (we do this, you'll notice) we headed south to Innellan for a mundane walk along the shore road, where the sky had once again turned blue although the sun had long gone. This, then, is my view from that walk, of the peach-coloured clouds above the coast - Renfrewshire? North Ayrshire? - where they must still have been able to see the sunset. It was perishing cold, but it stayed dry the whole time we were out.
Small mercies ...
