Only in Dundee

Spent a lovely day researching the city of Dundee in the Local History department of the Central Library. Some truly fascinating architectural and industrial heritage here.

Gotta love these statues in City Square, the heart of the city... 
For me a signifier of the quirky spirit of Dundee. Where these city creations, famous comic characters are calcified into the townscape. Made of bronze, unveiled in 2001, Desperate Dan is taller than me!
